ich habe hier ein kleines Problem! Ich weiß aber leider nicht, seit wann dem so ist. Dank meinem gut gefülltem Feed-Reader benötige ich äußerst selten eine Suchmaschine, deswegen habe ich das gerade erst bemerkt.
Mein YaCy findet nichts mehr und zeigt mir entsprechend auch keine Suchergebnisse an!
Selbst mein eigener Username (TmoWizard) wird nicht mehr gefunden! Natürlich war einer der ersten Crawls mein eigenes Blog, gerade mein Nickname sollte folglich gefunden werden. Es gibt allerdings wirklich gar kein Ergebnis, der verwendete Browser spielt dabei auch keine Rolle. Das war einer meiner ersten Gedanken, da ich damit schon mal Probleme hatte!
Ich stehe hier also vor einem großen Rätsel, denn ein “Principal Peer” sollte doch zumindest Dokumente im eigenen Index finden! Bei knapp 9 Millionen Dokumenten sollte doch wenigsten ein passendes Ergebnis gefunden werden…
Daher stelle ich hier nun die Frage, was denn hier so plötzlich daneben geht bei meinem Peer! Wie geschrieben brauche ich selten eine Suchmaschine, deswegen fiel mir das heute erst auf. Wenn ich nicht einmal meinen Usernamen finde bzw. kein Suchergebnis dazu bekomme, dann mache ich mir da natürlich so meine Gedanken!
I do not see TmoWizard on the network (but there is a “tmoyacy”).
I have noticed that if I leave my YaCy instance idle (unattended) for a long time, like, overnight or all day, and my laptop screensaver kicks in or it goes into sleep or hibernation or something, when I “wake it up” finally YaCy will sometimes not be functioning. It may appear to be running in the browser, but it will not actually be connected.
This happens not just with YaCy but with almost any program, if the computer is left alone too long and goes into sleep mode. Rebooting the computer has always solved the problem though.
Possibly I need to change my settings so the computer does not hibernate.
I’m about to go out for the day, so before leaving, I set all my “power management settings” to “do nothing” or “never” as far as going into sleep, suspend, hibernate, or “lock screen”, and am leaving YaCy connected and running.
My issue may be completely unrelated, but I did find that my laptop was set to do all those power management things after being “idle” for a relatively short interval.
I have found this to be quite annoying, as it kicks in even if I’m downloading a large file that will take a long time and leave the computer. The download would never finish if I didn’t come back and fiddle with the mouse, or tap the space-bar or something once in a while. Why does the computer think it is “idle” in the middle of a download? Or when a program is running in the background?
This seems to have made a tremendous difference; just adjusting the operating system’s power management settings without changing any of the settings in YaCy itself.
Sehr merwürdig! Nach einigen Updates und Neustarts von Linux sind die Suchergebnisse wieder wie gewohnt vorhanden, da rätselt der Fachman und der Laie wundert sich…
TmoWizard is my Username, not the Name of my YaCy-Server (tmoyacy)!
IDLE and other modes are deactivated on this Machine, it run 24/7
(sorry, if my english is not correct! It is more then 30 years ago that i learnd it at school…)
